The breadth of contributions made by UO is something you don’t find at every school.  Each day, world-class faculty, enthusiastic students, and notable alumni across the globe are contributing to make our world a better place. Whether attending a lecture in the classroom, doing research in the library, or interviewing for their first internship, annual giving supports students through their living and learning experiences every day.

Most of the things that make Oregon unique — our challenging academic program, encouraging environment, and beautiful campus — are supported by private gifts from our close-knit community of alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends.

Tuition and fees alone do not cover the full cost of educating a student at Oregon. And although Oregon is a public school, state assistance covers less than 15 percent of our operating budget. Today, every student receives a "hidden scholarship" from gifts and endowment income.
